Nancy Wang

Venture Partner at Felicis Ventures

Nancy Wang is currently the General Manager of Data Protection and Governance Services at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where she leads P&L, engineering, product, go-to-market, and business development. She has over 11 years of technology infrastructure and cloud computing leadership experience, with an emphasis on helping companies achieve their first – or next – billion dollars of revenue.

Previously, she was a founding product manager at Rubrik (leading their first SaaS product line), the first female product manager at Google Fiber, a technology consultant to the U.S. intelligence community, and a fellow at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Wang is a limited partner in Operator Collective, a venture fund of hundreds of tech’s most sought-after operators. She also personally invests in and advises multiple startups in the data infrastructure and data security areas. Wang is also the founder and CEO of Advancing Women in Tech (AWIT), a nonprofit that prepares women and other underrepresented minorities for leadership roles in tech. Each of her AWS-sponsored Coursera Specializations, including Real-World Product Management and Real-World Cloud PM, educate tens of thousands of learners each year. She also helps AWIT sponsors such as MongoDB coach their next generation of executives.

Wang holds 6 patents in storage and infrastructure technology, with additional patents pending. Wang also serves on the Board of Overseers of the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science (Penn SEAS), where she earned a B.S. in computer science.

In addition to her AWS and startup work, Nancy is a regular contributor for Forbes. Her articles include her conversations with other female CEOs and business leaders. Nancy also enjoys traveling, tennis, and sailing the Puget Sound.
