Stefan Feilmeier has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Stefan is currently the Chairman at OpenEMS Association e.V. since November 2018. Prior to that, they worked at FENECON GmbH from March 2012, where they held the position of Head of Energy Management Systems and Procurist. In this role, they led a team of software developers and played a significant role in developing FEMS and OpenEMS.
Before FENECON GmbH, Feilmeier was the Deputy Managing Director at Feilmeier Lagerhaus GmbH & Co. KG from August 2009 to February 2012. Stefan also served as a Luftwaffentransportoffizier in the Bundeswehr from August 2007 to July 2009. In addition, they worked as a Free Software Hacker at DeepRoot Linux from January 2007 to July 2007 and as an Intern in Software Development at Eurocopter from February 2005 to July 2005.
Stefan Feilmeier has a diverse education history. Stefan earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Embedded Systems from the "Lucian Blaga" University of Sibiu - Faculty of Engineering from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Wirtschaftsinformatik berufsbegleitend from Hochschule Deggendorf between 2009 and 2012. Stefan also obtained a Fachhochschulreife degree in Wirtschaft from Berufsoberschule Deggendorf from 2005 to 2006. Stefan began their education in the field of IT by pursuing a Berufsausbildung degree in Fachinformatiker für Anwendungsentwicklung at Berufsfachschule für IT Berufe Plattling from 2002 to 2005.
In addition to their formal education, Stefan Feilmeier has obtained various certifications. In December 2014, they completed the DelftX: ET.3034TU Solar Energy certification from edX. Stefan also completed the Stanford University: Machine Learning certification from Coursera in January 2014. Prior to that, Stefan obtained the AdA-Kurs certification from Handwerksammer Niederbayern-Oberpfalz in May 2012 and the Speicherprogrammierbare Steuerung - Grundkurs und Aufbaukurs auf Siemens S7-3xx certification from Handwerkskammer Hannover in June 2009.
