Simon Whelan

Simon Whelan has had a long and varied career in the architecture and education industries. Simon began their career in 1997 as an Architectural Technologist for John Duffy Design Group. In 2000, they moved to SBA Architects in the same role. In 2002, they became Director of Palmer Whelan & Associates. In 2007, they joined the City of Dublin Education and Training Board as a Lecturer. Finally, in 2012, they became Chief Operations Officer for FenestraPro.

Simon Whelan obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Architecture from the University of East London between 2004 and 2007. Prior to that, they received an Architectural Technology Dip.Arch.Tech from Technological University Dublin between 1994 and 1997. Simon also holds certifications from the U.S. Green Building Council, Autodesk, and the Irish Green Building Council. In particular, they obtained a LEED Green Associate from the U.S. Green Building Council in June 2016, an Autodesk Building Performance Analysis Certificate from Autodesk in August 2015, and is a Member of both the Irish Green Building Council and the U.S. Green Building Council.
