For consumers, FENSA  is the Government scheme that is industry-backed and provides homeowner protection in the double glazing industry for windows and doors. When a consumer chooses a FENSA Registered Company to install double glazing, they can rest assured knowing that every FENSA registered company is regularly assessed by an 'independent inspection body' to ensure standards are continually maintained. A FENSA Building Regulations certificate is dispatched to the homeowner for every registered installation as proof of compliance, without the added time and cost of arranging assessment by building control. Since 2002, all replacement glazing comes within the scope of the Building Regulations. 

For installers, FENSA is trusted and demanded by homeowners and Local Authorities. Installers can self-certify that their work complies with Building Regulations in a cost effective and efficient way. 
An independent report commissioned by the Communities and Local Government Department, found FENSA to be the most successful of all competent schemes to date in the UK, across all industries.
