Gino Baart is currently the Global Key Account Sales Director at Fermentis by Lesaffre, where they support beverage producers worldwide in creating innovative ferments for high-quality beverages. Gino's extensive expertise encompasses industrial biotechnology, microbiology, and brewing science, complemented by a strong background in sales and project management. Previously, Gino served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Ghent University, focusing on high-value products from diatoms, and held roles as a Bioprocess Engineer and Managing Director at various institutions. Gino earned a PhD in Food, Nutrition & Biotechnology from Wageningen University & Research and has a deep passion for the brewing industry, also directing the VESTROCK festival.
