Pete May is a seasoned expert in electric hybrid systems and motorsport engineering, currently serving as the Head of ERS Design & Development at Ferrari since February 2015. Responsibilities include leading a team in the development and delivery of high-voltage electric hybrid systems for Ferrari's Formula 1 and LMH power units, overseeing the design and support of batteries, power electronics, motors, and associated software. Previous roles encompass acting technical leadership in electric machines and power electronics, as well as serving as the ERS Application Team Leader. Prior to Ferrari, experience includes positions at Zytek Group Ltd. and Cosworth Limited, where responsibilities ranged from project management in Formula E to engine engineering for Formula 1 teams. Pete May holds an MEng (Hons) degree in Automotive Engineering from the University of Bath.
