Peter Schaffer

Peter Schaffer, PhD, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, has extensive experience in IT security and consulting. As the Head of Infrastructure & System Security at Ferrero since September 2017, Peter oversees the global security of IT infrastructure, including devices and cloud systems. Prior roles include serving as a Freelance IT Security Advisor at Salt Consulting, a Software Architect at Tresorit, where Peter designed a secure data storage format, and an IT Security & IT Audit Manager at EY, conducting risk assessments and compliance reviews. Peter also contributed to academic research as a Research Associate at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust, leading projects on network security. Peter's educational background includes a PhD and MSc in Computer Science from Budapest University of Technology and Economics and an executive program on Business Strategy and Financial Performance from INSEAD.
