Tristan Cogan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Tristan is the Co-Founder of Ferryx since October 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Kaleidoscope Multi Academy Trust starting in September 2017.
Tristan also worked as a Senior Lecturer in Infectious Disease at the University of Bristol from June 2013, with a focus on microbiology and veterinary public health. Tristan had research interests in infectious intestinal disease and the discovery and development of new therapies.
Before their role at the University of Bristol, Tristan worked as an Antimicrobial Projects Manager at Natureza, Inc. starting in May 2010. Tristan also held the position of Research Fellow at the University of Bristol from an unspecified date in 2006 until 2013.
Tristan's earlier experience includes working as a Clinical Scientist at Public Health England from 2001 to 2006, where they conducted foodborne disease research and contributed to the development of molecular diagnostic tests.
Tristan Cogan obtained a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Exeter, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Tristan then pursued a PhD in Infectious diseases at the same university from 1998 to 2001.
