Tom Kew

Tom Kew is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in event management and cultural promotion. Currently serving as the Lead City Coordinator for Fever in Nottingham and Leicester, Kew oversees the Candlelight events brand in the East Midlands, managing multiple shows weekly. As Bar Operations Manager for Detonate Festival, Kew handles the procurement and retail of alcohol for 15,000 attendees and supervises a team of over 200 staff. Kew is also an accomplished author, having published "The Multicultural Midlands" in 2023 and contributed to major academic studies on UK reggae. With a background that includes managing freelance event projects and significant roles in various organizations, Kew possesses a comprehensive understanding of the live music industry and cultural landscapes. Kew holds multiple degrees in English Literature, including a PhD from the University of Leicester, and has pursued further education in sustainability and inclusive leadership.
