Jim Speights

Jim Speights has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jim is currently working as the Sr. Director of Engineering at Fexa since 2023. Before that, they were the Vice President of Engineering at SparkMeter from 2022 to 2023. Jim'sresponsibilities included establishing a global engineering team and leading the development of SparkMeter's IoT platform and SaaS products. Jim also built and led a team of 25 software and data engineers as the Director of Software Engineering at ARGUS International from 2021 to 2022. Additionally, they have experience as a Sr. Software Engineering Manager at GHX, a Principal Consultant at ZoGoSoft, the Head of Software Development at SeedBin, and a Sr. Manager of Product Development at Experian. Jim also worked at Xilinx, Inc., where they served as a Sr. Software Engineering Manager and then as a Software Engineering Manager, responsible for developing automation tests and managing a software engineering team.

Jim Speights received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. Jim then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder.
