Tahir Azad Awan

Brig Tahir Azad Awan (Retd) was commissioned in Pakistan Army in Oct 1988 in Baloch Regiment. The officer holds Master Degrees in Security & Warfare Studies from National Defence University and University of Balochistan. He has the honour to have Commanded his Parent Unit and an Infantry Brigade in operational areas under challenging environment and remained Commander of Southern Airports of Sindh and Balochistan, in Airport Security Force. On staff side he has served as Dir Plans in W&E Directorate in General Headquarters Rawalpindi, Colonel GS at HQ Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) and a Brigade Major in the Strike Infantry Brigade. He also served twice with UN Force as Observer in DR Congo and Sector & Contingent Commander in East Darfur Sudan. On Instruction side he has been an instructor at School of Infantry & Tactics Quetta and at Command & Staff College Quetta.

Since Sep 2020, the officer is looking after Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim, Limited Karachi as General Manager (Resident).
