Aaron Brown has a diverse work experience, with their most recent position being a System Engineer/Administrator/Security Manager/Software Developer at FGS, LLC starting in April 2020. In this role, they were responsible for engineering a DCIM solution utilizing Nlyte software and APC products for multiple datacenters supporting the United States Air Force Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Mission. Aaron also managed two VMWare ESX environments and conducted patching, updates, testing, configuration management, and technical documentation.
Prior to their role at FGS, LLC, Aaron had a long career in the United States Air Force. Their roles included Manager, Cyberspace Weapon Systems from October 2018 to April 2020, where they ensured proper allocation of personnel and directed system training. Aaron was also a Procedure and Training Manager from July 2018 to September 2018, leading a team in providing critical system metrics and planning the deployment of a new logging server. Other roles in the Air Force included Enterprise Network Monitoring Manager, Active Directory Supervisor, Manager of Enterprise Operations, Enterprise e-mail Supervisor, Training and Development Lead, and Mobile Communications Supervisor.
Before joining the Air Force, Aaron worked as a Passenger Service Agent Supervisor from October 2002 to July 2004, where they took care of passengers from check-in to boarding. Aaron also had roles as a Cargo Specialist, Special Handler, Aircraft Services Supervisor, and Cargo Specialist, where they were responsible for ensuring proper handling, documentation, and transportation of cargo.
Throughout their various roles, Aaron has gained experience in system engineering, management, training, network monitoring, active directory administration, and customer service.
Aaron Brown pursued their education by attending the Community College of the Air Force from 1998 to 2014. During this period, they obtained two associate's degrees: one in Information Systems Technology in 2014 and another in Transportation in 2014. In addition to their formal education, Aaron also obtained several certifications from various institutions. Some notable certifications include Scripting in ServiceNow Fundamentals from ServiceNow in October 2021, Learn JavaScript Course from Codecademy in September 2021, and CIW Site Development Associate from the CIW Advisory Council in February 2018. Aaron also holds multiple certifications from CompTIA, such as A+ in January 2017, Security+ in July 2015, and Network+ in June 2017. Furthermore, Aaron acquired coaching certification as a Level 1 coach from the United States Bowling Congress in September 2001.
