Mike Powell

Mike Powell has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Mike began their career in 2005 as a Battalion Assistant Intelligence Officer in the US Army, where they served as Officer in Charge for the Aviation Movement Control Team and Assistant Intelligence Officer. In 2006, they joined the United States Army Reserve as Battalion Signal Officer and later became Battalion Chemical Officer.

In 2008, Mike transitioned to the US Air Force Reserve, where they served as Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Flight Commander. Mike managed EOD teams and completed numerous combat route clearance missions in Iraq. Mike also served as Unit Compliance Inspection Program Manager.

From 2012 to 2019, Mike worked at AirScan, Inc. as an Intelligence Integrator and Imagery Analyst in Afghanistan. Their responsibilities included conducting forensic analysis and providing guidance on enemy tactics using various imagery techniques.

In 2020, Mike joined FGS, LLC as an FMV Analyst. Mike performed geo-location mensuration functions and distributed intelligence information based on FMV and Imagery analysis.

In 2022, Mike worked as an IT Specialist at Geek Findrz Technologies, subcontracted to IMTAS supporting the FBI. Mike served as Team Lead for a mass computer and printer install project.

Currently, Mike is an FMV Analyst (II) at FGS, LLC.

Throughout their career, Mike has demonstrated expertise in intelligence analysis, team leadership, project management, and technical support.

Mike Powell holds a Master's degree in Management with a specialization in Information Systems Security from Colorado Technical University, which they obtained from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in History/Administrative Management from Excelsior University in 2005. In 2000, they earned an Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Explosive Ordnance Disposal from the Community College of the Air Force. Additionally, Mike has obtained various certifications, including a Certificate of Completion in CompTIA CySA+ (CS0-002) Complete Course from Udemy in October 2021 and a Security+ CE Certification from CompTIA in July 2021. Mike has also received a Certificate in Information Systems Security Management from Colorado Technical University. Furthermore, Mike has completed several courses and obtained certifications related to A+/PC Technician, Cisco networking, and Network+ from institutions such as Austin Community College and CompTIA.
