Bob Blake has held various positions in the engineering and technology fields since 2003. Bob began their career as the Sole Proprietor of Blake Web Solutions, providing responsive, standards-compliant websites for small businesses, hosting websites, managing email servers, and providing information technology support. In 2005, they became an Associate Engineer at BriarTek, Incorporated, where they designed and built a touchscreen LCD user interface for the ORCA man-overboard recovery system and performed field evaluations of antenna technologies for the ORCA system. Bob also served as a Teaching Assistant for Digital Electronics and VLSI Systems at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, where they received a citation for outstanding performance and compiled an analog cookbook to instruct students. In 2007, Bob was promoted to Electronics/Embedded Sofware Engineer at BriarTek, Incorporated, where they designed electronics and embedded firmware for wireless radio direction finding systems and managed products through manufacturing and deployment. Bob also re-engineered hardware for military and commercial man-overboard beacons to improve reliability and increase production yield. In 2010, Bob was promoted to Head of Electronics Engineering at BriarTek, Incorporated, where they performed all electronics design, management, and support for Cerberus family of consumer satellite messaging devices and ORCA family of man-overboard recovery products. Bob also developed production processes and managed overseas and domestic suppliers and contract manufacturers, as well as producing wireframes and mockups to create simplified user experiences for all new products. In 2015, Bob joined Canary as a Senior Product Manager and Lead Electrical Engineer - Canary Flex. Finally, in 2018, they joined Fi - Next Generation Dog Collars as the VP Hardware & Ops and Director Of Electrical Engineering.
Bob Blake's education history includes graduating from Harrison High School, followed by Dartmouth College where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Engineering Sciences in 2006. Bob then attended Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering in 2007. Bob obtained an Engineer in Training certification from the New Hampshire State Board of Professional Engineers in 2007. Finally, they attended Columbia Business School and earned a Master of Business Administration in 2013.
