Tom Stein

Tom Stein serves as General Counsel at Fi since May 2025. Prior to this role, Tom held the position of Deputy General Counsel at CLEAR from June 2018 to May 2025, where responsibilities included acting as General Counsel in 2024, overseeing legal matters related to innovative biometric identity technology. Tom's career at American Express spanned a decade, encompassing roles such as General Manager of Global Travel Partnerships, Vice President of Business Development & Strategy for Plenti, and General Counsel of Plenti, where foundational legal frameworks for the loyalty program were established. Before American Express, Tom gained legal experience at Proskauer Rose LLP, Solomon, Zauderer, and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, specializing in litigation and corporate law. Tom began a legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Ann Aldrich in the Northern District of Ohio. Tom holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
