Liam Smith

Liam Smith is currently the Chief Strategy Officer at Optiver US, overseeing Corporate Strategy, Government Relations, Principal Strategic Investments, and Execution Services for US markets. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of Corporate Strategy at Optiver from 2018 to 2024. Liam is also a Board Member at MIAX Exchange Group and an Executive Committee Member at FIA, Inc., representing FIA-PTG on the CFTC Agriculture Advisory Committee. Their past experience includes various leadership roles at CME Group and serving as a Board Observer at Gatsby Digital, Inc., where they concluded with a successful exit on the firm’s acquisition. Liam holds a degree from Providence College, earned in 2006.
