Mark Englund

Founder & CEO at FiberSense

Mark Englund has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Mark is currently the Co-Founder of Project S Technologies, a startup involved in federal government-related programs. Prior to this, they founded and served as the CEO of FiberSense, a startup focused on delivering real-time digital intelligence for improving safety in cities.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Mark held executive positions at TE Connectivity as the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development. Mark also served as the Managing Director at SubCom.

Mark's earlier work experience includes leadership roles at Redfern Optical Components Pty Ltd, where they were the CEO and VP of Technology. Mark began their career at Defence Science and Technology (DST) as a Research Engineer, specializing in optical fiber sensor technologies for SONAR applications, and later became the Head of the Optical Fibre Sensors Laboratory in the Maritime Operations Division.

Throughout their career, Mark has demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a focus on technology-driven solutions.

Mark Englund received their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng. - Hons) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Charles Darwin University from 1990 to 1994. Mark then pursued a PhD in Physics at the University of Sydney from 1999 to 2004, focusing on Optical fiber sensors for SONAR applications. In 2004, they completed the Australian Company Directors Course at AGSM @ UNSW Business School. Additionally, there is no information about any specific degree obtained from the Yoga Institute.
