Kevin Cooper

Kevin Cooper has a diverse range of work experience. Kevin currently holds the position of Optical Communication Engineer at Fibertek Inc. starting from March 2022. Prior to this, Kevin worked at 4S - Silversword Software and Services, LLC, where they held multiple roles. Kevin was a Lead Physicist from October 2021 to March 2022 and a Physicist from July 2019 to October 2021. As a Physicist, their responsibilities included modeling acquisition and communication subsystems in free space optical devices, performing optical ray tracing and wave optic analysis, and modeling degradation of free space optical communication systems. Before that, Kevin worked as a Student Intern at 4S - Silversword Software and Services, LLC from January 2018 to July 2019.

Kevin's earlier experience includes working as an Applied Physics Graduate Student at Towson University from August 2017 to July 2018, and as an Assistant to Operations Manager at EHS, Inc. from August 2012 to August 2017. In the latter role, they monitored account receivables, submitted appeals to insurance companies, and assisted patients in understanding their Explanations of Benefits.

Kevin also gained experience as an Intern at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center from August 2011 to January 2012. During this time, they constructed cryogenically compatible cables and harnesses, created 3D designs using Solidworks software, and performed deflection analyses using Comsol Multiphysics.

Lastly, Kevin worked as a Lifeguard at DRD Pool Management, Inc. from June 2006 to August 2010.
