Peter Schmitz

Peter Schmitz is an experienced HSEQ Manager currently working at Fibrant since June 2022. Previously, Schmitz held various positions in health, safety, and environmental management, including HSE Manager at OCI Nitrogen from June 2012 to May 2022 and at DSM Elastomeren from January 2009 to May 2012. Additionally, Schmitz served as Global Process Safety Manager at DSM Coating Resins Ltd. from January 2005 to December 2008, and as Assistant Production Chef at DSM Agro B.V. from June 2001 to December 2004. Schmitz began a career at DSM as a Process Safety Engineer from July 1995 to May 2001. Academic credentials include a Doctorate in Process Safety from Delft University of Technology, completed in November 2021, a Master’s degree in Safety, Health and Environment from the same institution, and Bachelor’s degrees in Chemical Engineering and Process Control from HTS Heerlen.
