Libby Bateman

Libby Bateman is a dedicated Liberal Democrat candidate for Mayor of Cumbria, committed to the region's heritage and future. They have served as a Rural Advisor for The CLA from 2015 to 2023, advocating for rural property rights and business development while campaigning on rural crime issues. Previously, Libby was a Councillor for the Kirkby Stephen Division at Cumbria County Council from 2013 to 2017 and has held various roles, including Stakeholder & Engagement Manager for Fibrus since 2023. Libby also serves as a Board Member for the Yorkshire Dales National Park and has a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the Open University.
