Bill Chan

Bill Chan is a data scientist at Brighterion, where they analyze billions of credit card transaction data to combat fraud and perform data manipulation and analysis using Oracle and Netezza databases. They possess a Master of Science in Statistics from California State University, East Bay, and have previously held roles at FICO and Silicon Valley Optics Technology, Inc. In their earlier career, they developed a successful regression model that significantly reduced R&D process time and contributed to various data analysis projects utilizing R, Matlab, and Python. Bill has also interned with the UCSB Experimental Cosmology Group, focusing on innovative engineering designs.
