Imre Pólik

Imre Pólik is an accomplished professional in optimization technologies with extensive experience in leadership and research. Currently serving as the Director of Continuous and Global Optimization at FICO since July 2021, Imre previously held significant roles at SAS, including Senior Manager of Linear and Integer Optimization, where management of a team focused on solver development was key. With a strong academic background, Imre earned a PhD in Mathematics from McMaster University, also contributing as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the same institution. Other experience includes postdoctoral research in high performance computing, system administration at educational institutions, and a junior researcher role applying reinforcement learning in control systems.
