Sönke Sothmann is a Principal Platform Architect at FICO, with a focus on the architecture and design of the next generation FICO Platform since November 2014. Sönke is an advocate for Event-Driven Microservice Architectures (EDA) and has defined CI/CD strategies, authored architecture concepts, and mentored teams while also engaging in POC development. Previous experience includes serving as a Software Architect and Development Lead, guiding architects in fraud and compliance solutions and defining company-wide API standards. Prior to FICO, Sönke worked at Orientation in Objects, gaining experience as a developer, consultant, and trainer, and has been involved in various roles including Scrum Master and project lead since 2006. Sönke holds a Diplom-Informatiker degree in Computer Science from Hochschule Mannheim.
