Xia Song

Xia Song is a highly experienced data scientist currently serving as Lead Data Scientist at FICO since August 2021. Previous roles include Senior Data Scientist at CoStar Group, where advanced machine learning and deep learning algorithms were utilized to develop a recommender system, and Data Scientist at Accenture, focusing on Intelligence Collection. Xia Song also held positions at Cox Automotive as Data Scientist II, developing machine learning models for forecasting car prices, and at Acorns as a Data Science Intern. Academic roles include Research Assistant Professor and Lecturer at San Diego State University and The University of Texas at El Paso, working on projects related to terrestrial ecosystem functions and machine learning. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Data Science and Engineering from UC San Diego, a Master’s Degree in Forest Biology and Ecology from Auburn University, and a Ph.D. in Ecology from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
