Sherry Leclerc has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Sherry started their career as an English Language Teacher at LCI Academy/Kid's Club in 2004 and worked there until 2006. Sherry then served as a French Teacher at the Ottawa-Carleton Catholic School Board from 2006 to 2009. Following that, Sherry joined the Waterloo Catholic District School Board as a French Teacher in 2011, and they continued in this role until November 2021. In 2017, they started working as a Freelance Editor for Ternias Publishing Editorial Services. Their most recent positions include teaching as an Enseignante at CSAP (Conseil scolaire acadien provincial) from September 2021 and working as a Content Writer at Fictionary since November 2021.

Sherry Leclerc obtained a Graduate Certificate in Creative Writing from Humber College in 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in Intermediate/Secondary Education, with a focus on English and French Language Arts, from Memorial University of Newfoundland from 1999 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Sherry Leclerc has acquired several certifications. Sherry obtained Applied Adult Learning Theory certification from Dalhousie University in October 2022, and Planning Facilitation with Adult Learners certification from the same institution in August 2022. In November 2021, they became a Fictionary Certified StoryCoach through Fictionary, and in July 2020, they obtained the Certified Copy Editor certification from Writer's Digest.
