Lauren Bourne

Lauren Bourne has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Lauren is currently the Director of UX Design & Digital Experiences at Fidelity Charitable® since June 2023. Prior to that, they participated in the Propel Leadership Program at Fidelity Investments from April 2021 to August 2023. Lauren also has several years of experience at Fidelity Charitable, where they worked as a Principal Web Designer from January 2020 to April 2021, a Senior Web Designer from October 2017 to January 2020, and an Interaction Designer from August 2015 to October 2017. Additionally, they have worked as an Interactive Experience Designer at Greenhill - A Space for NC Art from February 2015 to September 2015. Lauren started their career in education, serving as a Social Media Graduate Assistant and Project Manager at Elon University from August 2014 to May 2015. Before that, they were a Visual Arts Teacher and Visual Arts Education Lead for High Schools at Alamance-Burlington School System from July 2006 to June 2014. Lauren also has experience in the art industry, having worked as an Education Curator at Green Hill Center for North Carolina Art from May 2004 to June 2006, and as an Art Education Specialist at ArtQuest at Green Hill Center from September 2001 to May 2004.

Lauren Bourne obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from Elon University in 2001. Lauren then pursued a graduate level program, the Piedmont Alternative Licensure Program, in Visual Art Education at Greensboro College from 2006 to 2008. In 2014, Lauren attended Elon University again to obtain a Master's Degree in Interactive Media, which they completed in 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Lauren has also obtained various certifications. Lauren became a Certified Scrum Master in December 2015 through the Scrum Alliance. Lauren further expanded their skill set by acquiring Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner and Enterprise Design Thinking - Team Essentials for AI certifications from IBM in April and May 2021, respectively. Lauren recently obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) certification from the Scrum Alliance in July 2021.
