Des Gallacher

Des Gallacher is an experienced technology leader in the financial services sector, currently serving as CIO and Head of Asset Management Technology at Fidelity Investments since December 2024. Prior to this role, Gallacher was the Chief Information Officer and Managing Director of Investment Management at Morgan Stanley, where contributions included the acquisition of Eaton Vance. Gallacher held significant positions at Eaton Vance, including Chief Technology Officer and VP of Head of Investment Technology, focusing on technology strategy and implementation. Additional experience includes a VP role at Charles River Development and Global Product Head at SS&C Institutional and Investment Management. Gallacher began a career in technology at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and Aberdeen Asset Management, following early experience as an Analyst/Programmer at Murray Johnstone Investments. Gallacher holds a BSc in Computer Studies from Glasgow Caledonian University.
