Gerard Murphy

Gerard Murphy is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in network infrastructure management and cybersecurity practices. Currently serving as a Senior Cybersecurity Systems Engineer at Fidelity Investments since March 2023, Gerard previously worked with the United Nations as a CIS Technician, managing wired and wireless network services. Gerard also contributed to NATO-wide Cyber Defence efforts during a short stint with Cyber Coalition in November 2022. Prior experience includes over seven years with the Irish Defence Forces, where responsibilities spanned from Infantry Soldier to Network Administrator, involving the configuration and management of network devices and performance optimization. Gerard holds a Master’s degree in Forensic Computing & Cybercrime Investigation from University College Dublin and a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering (Military Communication Systems) from the Institute of Technology, Carlow, achieving notable academic distinctions.
