Ginny Z.

Ginny (Jie) Z. is a Ph.D. graduate in Biostatistics and Data Science from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, with a minor in Environmental Sciences. Currently a Senior Data Scientist at Fidelity Investments, Ginny actively applies machine learning techniques to real-world problems while simultaneously leading two data science projects at Shell. They have also held roles in various organizations including Novartis and Franklin Park, where they showcased their skills in machine learning, GIS, and environmental engineering. As a gold-level ballroom dancer, Ginny mentors students at the Rice University Ballroom Team and has contributed significantly as a volunteer at events like the LI Super Bowl.
