Melissa Marks Knoll is the Vice President of Behavioral Economics at Fidelity Investments, where they lead a team of Behavioral Scientists to enhance financial products and improve customer financial well-being. Previously, they served as the Section Chief of Decision-making and Behavioral Studies at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from 2017 to 2022 and worked as a Research Psychologist there from 2013 to 2017. Earlier in their career, they were a Social Science Research Analyst at the Social Security Administration from 2009 to 2013. Melissa earned a Ph.D. in Quantitative Psychology with a focus on Judgment and Decision Making from The Ohio State University in 2009 and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from Rutgers University-New Brunswick in 2004.
