Owen Chen

Owen Chen, Ph.D., is an experienced professional in AI/ML engineering and data science, currently serving as Vice President of AI/ML Engineering at Fidelity Investments since June 2022, focusing on the development of Generative AI applications. In addition, Owen holds the position of Chairman of the Board for the Chinese Association for Science and Technology - NC Chapter, volunteering for a non-profit organization that supports scientists and engineers in North Carolina. Previous roles include Data Science Manager/VP at Deutsche Bank, Quantitative Manager/VP at Truist, and Senior Research Statistician at SAS, where Owen contributed significantly to econometric modeling and risk analysis. Additionally, academic contributions include teaching as an Adjunct Professor at both North Carolina State University and the University of Science and Technology of China.
