Rachel Nelson

Rachel Nelson is a Deputy General Counsel specializing in Cryptocurrency and Blockchain at Fidelity, bringing over 20 years of experience in traditional financial services and more than 6 years in the crypto industry. Previously, Rachel served as Senior Director and Associate General Counsel for Regulatory at Coinbase and held legal positions at J.P. Morgan, Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, and WilmerHale. Rachel's expertise includes advising fintech businesses during rapid growth, managing regulatory relationships, and applying securities laws to digital assets. They earned a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and dual Bachelor's degrees in International Relations from Stanford University. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys rock climbing, cycling, playing the piano, and painting portraits.
