Richard Harper

Richard Harper is currently the Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Fidelity Investments, a position held since 2025. Previously, Richard served as a Partner at Choate Hall & Stewart LLP from 2001 to 2008 and worked as a Trial Attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from 2008 to 2025. Richard began their career as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Navy from 1997 to 2000 and also held the role of Law Clerk to Justice Judith Cowin at the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court from 2000 to 2001. Richard earned a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School and holds a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Emory University.
