Sindhu Arra

Sindhu Arra is a graduate student at the University of Illinois Springfield, where they recently completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Environmental Health. As an International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Outreach Intern at the American Red Cross – Illinois Region, Sindhu explored the protections afforded to medical personnel in conflict zones, culminating in a presentation at the First Annual IHL Spring Symposium. With a background in pharmacy, Sindhu has developed competencies in various aspects of public health, including epidemiological analysis and environmental risk assessment, while actively seeking opportunities in public health and global health sectors. They are also an active member of the Illinois Public Health Association and the National Environmental Health Association, advocating for health equity through data-driven initiatives.
