Deegan Atha

Deegan Atha is currently a Senior Autonomy Engineer at FieldAI, having previously served as a Robotics Technologist III at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory from 2022 to 2025. Deegan led efforts in semantic perception for JPL's DARPA RACER project and managed a significant research initiative focused on nighttime navigation on the moon. Earlier experience includes internships at NASA Langley Research Center and GE Healthcare, as well as research roles at Purdue University, where Deegan contributed to advancements in deep learning and robotics. Deegan holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
