Software Systems Leader

Software Systems Leader is a IT Support Leader and Strategic Business Partner who has worked for Dow AgroSciences from January 2010 to December 2017. In their primary role as IT Support Leader, they managed the team responsible for first level support for all R&D applications, globally, as well as R&D servers, high performance computer cluster, and lab PCs (over 1000 users with over 100 applications, 100s of PCs and servers). We ensured that researchers had access to the systems and data they needed to do high quality science. Software championed the design of systems and applications for supportability, coordinated support activities with Dow Chemical IT and other shared resources, and drove continuous improvement within the team and department.

In their additional role as Strategic Business Partner for the Seeds & Traits R&D function, they worked with Plant Breeding leadership to identify and prioritize systems and data analysis needs for Global Plant Breeding research and oversaw the delivery of a portfolio of projects.

Software chaired the Dow AgroSciences Women’s Network, sponsored a Coaching and Mentoring Network to accelerate the development of under-represented employees.

Software led large cross-functional projects, including a POC across multiple Dow Chemical businesses sponsored by Dow Chemical Vice Presidents and Global Directors.
