Jerry Hobson

Jerry Hobson has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Jerry started their career with the US Army as an Avionics Nav and Flight Control Repair specialist from 1976 to 1985. Following that, Jerry worked at Verizon for 33 years, holding various roles such as Bench Technician, Service Manager, Lead Technician, and finally as a Data Solutions Engineer. During their time at Verizon, they gained expertise in a wide range of areas including private network design and implementation, messaging services solutions, network backup solutions, wireless IoT, and VoIP. In 2019, Jerry joined NewTekk as a Solutions Engineer, where they provided technical solutions and integration of wireless products, cloud, and security services for enterprise and small businesses. Currently, Jerry is working as an Information Technology Operations Manager at Field2Base, starting from July 2023.

Jerry Hobson attended Antioch High School from 1973 to 1976. After completing high school, they joined the US Army in 1976 and completed advanced electronics training. In 1977, they further pursued component level repair training in the US Army. Moving forward to the present, Jerry attended New Horizons in 2012 for Cisco CCNA training and Global Training in 2013 for CCNA certification. In 2017, they completed the CMNA program at Cisco Meraki. Most recently, from 2020 to 2022, Jerry studied network and system administration at the Cisco Networking Academy.
