James Cox

James Cox has extensive experience in power services and operations, currently serving as an Outage Manager at FieldCore since February 2018. In this role, James is responsible for the preparation, planning, execution, and closeout of complex outage events for turbine and generator equipment, while promoting best practices. Prior to FieldCore, James worked at Suncor Energy as a C&SU Supervisor, overseeing commissioning and startup processes, and at Ali'i Oilfield Services Inc. as a Contractor focused on commissioning activities. James's career also includes positions as a Maintenance Coordinator and Outage Coordinator at Nexen, where responsibilities included outage scheduling and execution, as well as operational support. Earlier roles at Canadian Oil and Gas and Alberta Power involved control room operations and equipment management across various systems. James holds a degree in Power Engineering and Gas Processing from Grande Prairie Regional College.
