Eric Artzt

Eric Artzt has extensive work experience in software development, specifically in roles related to UX engineering and lead engineering. Eric is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Fieldwire, focusing on the web interface for back-office construction managers. Prior to that, they worked at Avalara, where they held various positions such as Lead Engineer/UX and Director of UX Engineering. At Avalara, they contributed to projects such as the EMEA Customer Portal, One Registrations platform, and the Avatax customer portal. Eric also worked as a Dev Manager and Lead UX Developer at the TNG group. Additionally, Eric has experience as a Senior Software Development Engineer at Skytap and a Software Developer at Society Consulting, Asguard Networks, Inc., IAC/Urban Spoon, Research In Motion, Gist.com, and Badda Big Boom, LLC. Eric co-founded and served as a Board Member for Lonin League, a Historical European Martial Arts club in Seattle. Eric has a wide range of technical skills including expertise in frameworks and technologies such as Rails, Angular, React/Redux, NodeJS, EmberJS, and AngularJS.

Eric Artzt earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Communication/Computer Science from the University of Florida from 1983 to 1986. Eric later pursued a Master's degree in Education at the University of Washington from 2005 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Eric has also obtained various certifications in subjects such as Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, Fighting Gender Bias at Work, Interpersonal Communication, Preventing Harassment in the Workplace, Teaching Civility in the Workplace, and Unconscious Bias. These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn in May 2021.
