John Flowers has extensive experience in software engineering and technology leadership roles. John is currently employed at Fieldwire as a Staff Software Engineer since February 2021. Prior to that, they worked at ATTATECH SOFTWARE COMPANY for over 15 years, starting in June 2005 and serving as a Principal Software Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for architecting, developing, maintaining, and supporting a healthcare information system for the Department of Defense, managing a significant number of patient medical records.
Before their time at ATTATECH, Flowers served as the Chief Technology Officer at GigaTrust from November 2000 to June 2005. John was involved in managing the company's technology operations and strategies.
Furthermore, they worked as the President of Docwizard Software, Inc. from August 1998 to November 2000. In this position, they were the principal software developer for the Department of Defense's Composite Health Care System II. John designed and developed software, collaborated with third-party vendors, and wrote internal tools. Additionally, they partnered with InterActive Corporation to create a conversion product.
Prior to that, Flowers held the position of CTO and Senior Vice President of Engineering at Network Imaging from April 1996 to May 1998. John managed development and product management operations and participated in strategic planning and sales efforts. John also demonstrated company products at Microsoft events.
Flowers began their career as the Vice President and Chief Scientist at PRC, where they worked from November 1989 to April 1996. John was involved in designing and developing various systems for the Department of Defense, including a drawing management information system and emergency communications and dispatch systems. John also contributed to the creation of a configurable document management system called Productivity Edge.
