Aleksander Čeferin was elected Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) President in September 2016 and became a FIFA Vice-President in the process. The Ljubljana-born lawyer had served as President of the Football Association of Slovenia (NZS) since 2011. Previously, Čeferin had worked and served as company director for his family’s law firm before becoming involved with Slovenian clubs KMN Svea Lesna Litija and NK Olimpija Ljubljana.
