Derek Canavaggio

Derek Canavaggio is an accomplished professional in sports management, currently serving as the MA Development Manager at FIFA since February 2018. Prior to this role, Derek held the position of Director of National Team Operations at Federación Panameña de Fútbol from August 2016 to January 2018, where responsibilities included managing a 12-person operations team and overseeing logistics, financial planning, and matchday coordination for multiple FIFA World Cup Qualification campaigns. Earlier in the career at the same federation, Derek was a Project Manager, leading initiatives that enhanced governance and internal systems. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Sports Management from Columbia University and a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from the University of Tampa.
