Fatimata Sow

Fatimata Sow currently serves as Directeur at FIFA since July 2022, focusing on the education development and empowerment of children aged 4-14 globally, impacting 211 member associations by facilitating life-skills learning for social change. Prior to this role, Fatimata held multiple positions at the UN World Food Programme from August 2008 to March 2023, including Head of the Tunisia and Morocco Office, where strategic management of operations and capacity strengthening efforts were emphasized. Additional roles included Deputy Country Director for WFP Madagascar and Guinea Bissau, overseeing program management, staff coaching, and collaborations with various stakeholders. Fatimata's extensive educational background includes a PhD in Economics focused on food systems and food security from Université de Paris 11, a Master’s in Agricultural Economics from the University of Plekhanov, and a certificate from New York University's College of Global Public Health.
