Irina Baranova

Irina Baranova is a seasoned media relations professional with extensive experience in sports management and public communications. Currently serving as Media Relations Manager at FIFA since October 2015, Irina played a pivotal role in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia. Additionally, Irina has been a CIES Coordinator in Russia since July 2015 and previously held the position of Leading Manager/Media Officer in the Public Communications Department at the Football Union of Russia from June 2009 to July 2014, managing media for over 100 national and international sporting events annually. Irina's academic credentials include an International Master in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport from the International Centre for Sport Studies, and specialist degrees in Translation and Interpretation and Public Relations from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
