Vad István has extensive experience in the field of sports officiating, having served as a First Division Referee for the Hungarian Football Federation from 2003 until 2025. They have held the role of International Video Assistant Referee for FIFA since 2021 and currently work as a Video Assistant Referee for the UAE Football Association. In addition to their officiating responsibilities, Vad served as a Referee Advisor for FITEQ Fédération Internationale de Teqball, where they contributed to building an international refereeing structure and developing educational models. Vad holds a degree in Basics of Sport Management from the Hungarian Football Federation, completed in 2017.
