Rudolf Staiger

Rudolf Staiger is the President of DVW - German Association for Geodesy, Geoinformation and Land Management, a position held since 2023. They served as a Professor at Hochschule Bochum from 2005 to 2023 and at the University of Duisburg-Essen from 1994 to 2005. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Manager at Leica Geosystems in 1991 and held various positions, including Software Developer and System Engineer, in the geospatial field. Rudolf also contributed to the FIG - International Federation of Surveyors as Vice President. They earned a Diplomingenieur in Geodesy from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and a DES in Geodesie from Ecole nationale des Sciences géographiques.
