Mark Gituma

Mark Gituma is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in various leadership roles, including Lead Software Engineer at Fig since November 2023 and Koru from January 2021 to November 2023. Mark co-founded The Dancelogue Project, aiming to integrate dance and technology for preservation, and Mbele Inc, a start-up focused on feedback-driven learning. Additional experience includes serving as Interim CTO at ReturnBear, freelance software engineering, and co-founding Spectrum Alpha. With a solid foundation in backend development using Python and Node.js and frontend development in JavaScript, Mark's expertise spans over eight years in backend and seven years in frontend technologies. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering and a Post Graduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship from the University of Cape Town.
