Emily Freure

Emily Freure has a diverse range of work experience. Emily is currently working as a Business Analyst at FigBytes Inc., where they lead the Platform team in supporting the delivery and technical design of new Frameworks and product improvements. Emily also acts as the Scrum Master, driving agile ceremonies and resolving development roadblocks.

Prior to their current role, Emily was a Business Analyst at thinktum, where they established a process for requirements gathering and writing in their agile/scrum development environment. Emily streamlined the process, resulting in improved consistency and efficiency.

Before that, Emily worked as a Technical Analyst, Resource Management at Economical Insurance, where they focused on identifying solutions for forecasting challenges within the IT Operations department. Emily utilized advanced statistical methods and data analysis to provide solutions and improve forecasting accuracy.

Emily has also held positions at Sun Life as a Senior Client Services Administrator, Conestoga Students Inc. as a Campus Service Assistant, and YMCAs of Cambridge & Kitchener-Waterloo as a Supervisor and Team Leader in Membership roles.

Emily Freure attended Wilfrid Laurier University from 2013 to 2017, where they earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Organizational Leadership. In addition to their degree, they also obtained an Entry Certificate in Business Analysis™ from the IIBA in August 2021 and a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from the Scrum Alliance in March 2023.
