Neil Ward

Neil Ward, PhD has extensive experience in strategic communications, advocacy, and management. Neil currently works as a part-time lecturer at Dublin City University, teaching in the field of public relations and strategic communications. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Advocacy and Communications at Fighting Blindness. Neil also served as the Director of Strategy and Communications at the Garda Representative Association and as Director at Genie Communications Ltd. Neil has a background in journalism as well, having worked as a Publisher and Editor at Garda Review. Neil has also held various roles at Fujifilm UK Ltd, including Corporate Communications Manager and Marketing Manager. Neil's expertise includes media response, crisis management, reports and press statements, speechwriting, event organization, advertising campaigns, public relations, and promotional activities.

Neil Ward, PhD received their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD from Dublin City University, specializing in the School of Communications. Neil previously earned a Master of Arts (MA) in Political Communication from the same institution. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology at London Metropolitan University. Neil completed their secondary education at Cheltenham Grammar School from 1977 to 1984.
