Fighting High Publishing is a UK‑based independent publisher, founded in 2009 by military aviation author Steve Darlow. They specialise in commissioning original non‑fiction works that centre on human endeavour, particularly in historical military and aviation settings.

As part of their mission, they pay meticulous attention to production quality, presentation, and design, from covers to internal layout.

Their core catalogue spotlights aviation stories from the Second World War, blending archival research, first‑hand interviews, and eyewitness testimony into vividly detailed narratives. The books are praised for their compelling storytelling, strong visual elements – photos, maps, artwork – and accurate technical and historical details. Fighting High also publishes other human‑adventure stories like memoirs from POWs and escape‑and‑evasion narratives.

Their reputation within specialist historical publishing – especially in aviation – is built on their commitment to accuracy, originality, and design excellence. Their brand identity and visual consistency have been crafted in partnership with graphic agencies like TruthStudio, giving them a distinctive and professional look across their titles.
